Oklahoma Contemporary has what you're looking for with a free screening of David Salle's Search and Destroy. This "screwball tragedy" follows down-on-his-luck businessman Martin Mirkhein (Griffin Dunne) as he tries to produce a movie based on a self-help guru’s (Dennis Hopper) televised teachings. With the help of his lover (Illeana Douglas) and shady business partner (Christopher Walken), Martin goes in search of big money in a world of desperate hustling and pop philosophy.
Salle was nominated for the Grand Special Prize at the Deauville American Film Festival.
After the screening, there will be a discussion with local filmmakers.
